One of the things in your business that you might want to invest in is commercial paving. If you plan to sell your business in the future, it would be easier to sell it if it looks good. Commercial paving experts can help you decide and plan on what to do to improve your business’ paving and parking lots. One way you can do this is by using resin bound permeable paving.
Multi-purpose material
That’s right – resin. Resin these days is known as a multi-purpose material. You can see people using resin in just about anything. Hobbyists use it to cast parts they need for different projects. Some people use resin to create all kinds of amazing looking tables made out of both wood and resin. In flooring, resin can be used to cover the whole floor, making it look like the floor is made out of glass or stone, like marble. It has a shiny, attractive finish to it.
Resin can be used in paving in two ways. First, it can be used as grout, where it is mixed with a powdery material and can be applied between tiles. Then there’s using resin as a binding agent for fine gravel, where it holds the gravel together while allowing water to pass through and underneath.
Benefits of resin paving
The benefits that resin has in other forms of flooring, like as a grout, is also observable in paving applications. Say, for example, you have resin-bounded permeable paving installed. First, you can expect that your paving will last longer than one without resin which only has gravel. The resin can keep the gravel in place, and it can hold the stones together for a long time. You won’t lose any gravel over time, and you won’t need to replace it.
Next, you don’t have to be afraid of water, as water will go through the paving and into the soil, which is just like what your ordinary fine gravel paving does. And because the gravel is held together by resin, it won’t be washed away.
There’s another benefit to having resin bounded gravel: it’s that the resin binds the stones together strongly. This means that you don’t have to watch out for parts of your paving coming off due to water or getting stepped or driven on. Resin is strong enough to support a car’s weight, so there’s no danger of it cracking, even in harsh conditions. And since the resin binds with the base of the paving, you don’t have to worry about your paving lifting somehow, like the way it happens with tiles.
Beyond the advantages mentioned here, there isn’t much more to say about resin bound paving other than how it looks good and how it will save you money in the long run despite the expensive initial cost. So, if you’re planning on building paving or renovating it, you might want to try using resin on your paving or parking spaces.
