For many of you reading this, this winter will be your child’s first. Be that the case it’s time for you to give them the best introduction to winter that you can. I’m sure you’re already daydreaming about all the fun winter activities you’ll do with child this season. To get the most out of these activities you’re going to want to make sure that your child is bundled up nice and warm. Here are the must-have articles of clothing for the winter season.
Winter Pyjamas
After a long day of playing in the snow you and you baby are going to want to get a long night’s rest. Even though you’ll be turning up the heat and tucking your child into their bed or crib you’ll still want to dress them up in warm winter pyjamas. Your child will sleep sound if they’re snug and comfortable rather than in need of an extra blanket. Winter pyjamas might just be the most important piece of clothing your child can wear this winter.
Snow Boots
There’s nothing worse than walking around all day with wet socks. Being that your child may not have the verbal capacity to ask you for a fresh pair of socks it’s best to prevent damp socks by purchasing waterproof snow boots.
Winter Socks
Snow boots are typically longer than a regular pair of sneakers. To make your child as comfortable as possible, deck your child out in long, warm, fuzzy socks. Don’t forget to factor the weather into every item your purchase during the cold months of the year.
A Hat that Covers Ears
The head and face are usually the most exposed parts of the body. You can protect your baby against the wind and snow with a specially designed hat and/or earmuffs. Just make sure the material isn’t coarse, and keep those ears nice and dry and well covered!
Gloves
They don’t need to be heavy duty snow gloves, they don’t need to be mittens, and they don’t need to be expensive, but have those little gloves ready and available for when the cold weather strikes! If you suddenly find your toddler’s gloves have been misplaced, you need to go up the road and there’s a bitter chill outside…. well a nice pair of socks will do for now and hopefully no-one will notice.
